@hopefamlybindry @ColtonYarbro @problogger @MonergismBooks I’m unfamiliar with this device. Is it actually possible to download Monergism books onto it? If so, that’s amazing
English

@ColtonYarbro So far it’s been great. But I’m a few days in. I’m not sure it will be my primary reading device but for on the run non distracted snippets it’s wonderful.
English

@problogger I’ve been thinking about getting one of those. Would love to hear/read your thoughts after an extended period of use.

@jenniferwilkin Week 4 of DD last night here in Melbourne went so well - thanks so much for your teaching. The room was buzzing by the end of the night. We really appreciate you - more than one person asked if we can get you out to teach in person! 😁

@ethananderson Yes I actually have built a command for Claude code for helping me to find personal illustrations by asking me a series of questions designed to push me to dig deeper and think of times when things happened in my own life that might be relevant.

Treating AI as a research assistant is exactly the right approach, in my opinion. While the output still needs to be verified, it can save a lot of time in the research phase!
One surprising use case that I found helpful: finding sermon illustrations. The best illustrations are personal stories, but sometimes I'm stumped. AI brainstorming has helped me there.

@Minn21a If thoughtful, prayerful people opt out, the conversation doesn't stop, it just happens without us.
English

@Minn21a I share your concern about discernment — there are real lines I think we shouldn't cross with AI, and I try to write about that carefully. But that's exactly why I think the church needs to be in this conversation rather than stepping back from it....

Thanks everyone for the likes, shares, messages and feedback on this post. Have been offline most of the day and back now to see a lot of lovely DMs and emails. Glad it has resonated.

I've been quietly refining an AI sermon research prompt for two years. A few people asked me to share it, so here it is, along with what I've learned along the way. (This is about researching sermons, not writing them. Worth saying upfront.) 🧵

I'm really loving this new Quick Fix feature in Raycast. Double-tap the right Shift key, and it automatically gives any highlighted text a quick spelling and grammar check. So good.

⇧ ⇧ is cool "Quick Fix" to try it out
English

@peduarte I'm already loving the quick fix. Double-tapping Shift is a genius move. This is actually making me consider moving back to the Pro plan for sure. It's so good.
English

@BrettLamberth Would love to hear what you think once you've digested!
English

@problogger Can’t wait to dig into this. Great work and effort.
English

@AIbizgrowth yep - lots of back and forth but it was worth the effort for sure.
English

@problogger oh neat, must have taken a lot of tweaking to get that right. curious what stood out to you most in the process?
