When AEW first teased Konosuke Takeshita vs. Kazuchika Okada over a year ago, we all imagined they would eventually have an absolute classic once they finally got in the ring together. The match we just saw somehow exceeded even those expectations. That was everything I wanted and more. An absolute classic, and honestly, one of the best matches I’ve seen in AEW since the company started. Konosuke Takeshita scoring a massive victory over Kazuchika Okada to win the AEW International Championship felt like a true star-making moment. THIS is what professional wrestling is all about. That match alone was worth the $50 price tag, and I’m so happy I got to witness it live in front of an incredible crowd of 15,000+ fans.
