Such screenings should not be just a mop up and qualified professionals should be engaged for the same. We at School Health Pro have also been doing developmental screening as well as Autism screening for preschool children apart from Anthropometry, Immunisation check, Eye, hearing and dental checkups 😊 Let us try and reach out to all the kids 🎯

🚨CBSE issues guidelines for preschool, calls for child-friendly classrooms & annual health checks! ▶️According to the CBSE guidelines released Friday, “each child shall have an annual physical examination by a competent physician, including an appropriate vision-screening, audio-testing and other tests as deemed necessary”. ▶️Advantages Of Regular Health Checkups ✅Annual checkups protect your child from illnesses, track your child’s growth and detect developmental problems early. ✅Parents get the opportunity to discuss their child’s eating and sleeping patterns with the doctor and can get tips to improve their child’s daily schedule. ✅Checkups are not just about immunisations and vaccinations and measuring their height and weight. A lot of developmental disabilities can be assessed and detected during checkups. ✅ Intellectual disabilities like Autism, Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder and difficulties with language can be monitored and detection at an early stage can be managed better. ▶️The advantages of regular health checkup cannot be undermined and can be responsible for your kid leading a happy, healthy and normal life. It’s not something to be done when your child is sick but rather to prevent them from falling sick.

🔸Mosquitoes breed in the rainy season &children are very vulnerable to them as they spend many hours outside. Since mosquitoes can cause dangerous infections like dengue&malaria, it is best to make sure ur child wears loose, full-sleeves clothing that does not leave skin exposed

🔸Avoid street and processed foods Since many of the diseases during the monsoon are waterborne, eating street food should be avoided. Since humid and wet atmospheres are ideal for bacteria breeding, it is best to stick to fresh, home-cooked meals

🔸Adequate hydration Ensure that ur kids are drinking clean, filtered water. Contaminated water is the most common reason for monsoon infections It is also a known fact that drinking enough water also helps cleanse the system&flushes out toxins like germs&bacteria from the body.

🔸Don'ts 🔹You should not give your child (<2yrs of age ) OTC cough medicine without first checking with your doctor 🔹If your child has asthma, make sure you have an asthma action plan  from ur doctor. The plan should help u choose the right asthma medicines to give 🔹Cough drops are OK for older kids, but kids younger than 3 years old can choke on them. It's better to avoid cough drops unless your doctor says that they're safe for your child. 🔹Avoid salty foods, coffee and sugary drinks, which can be dehydrating. 🔹Do not give infants under 1 year honey; it will not help with symptoms and can cause a sickness called infant botulism 🔹Avoid taking antibiotics. Antibiotics only kill bacteria, they have no effect on the viruses that cause the common cold.  In addition, antibiotics can have potentially serious side effects.  And taking an antibiotic when you don’t need one can lead to antibiotic resistance
