They're choosing to be on the street..." Based on his comments, seems pretty clear that Pratt knows next to nothing about homelessness policy, either in LA or anywhere else. In Los Angeles, about 16,700 people sleep in shelters on any given night (there are about 17,150 shelter beds total in the city). There are an additional 27,000 people unsheltered on the city's streets. IOW, the city has shelter spaces for less than 40 percent of LA's total homeless population. (After he somehow gets all of LA's homeless to move to Seattle, perhaps Mayor Katie Wilson can somehow get them all on the ferry to Bremerton).

These four Black men are the only Black people elected to serve in Congress from Louisiana since the 1870s. Louisiana has elected more than 170 white men to Congress during that same period. Yet today, a corrupt Supreme Court, a puppet governor, and a weak-backed legislature have decided to strip elected power from Black people. That means other people decide how our tax dollars are invested in our communities. I spoke with @repcleofields_, @reptroycarter, former Rep. @cedric_richmond, and former Rep. William Jefferson about why they went to the Louisiana State Capitol to testify against the congressional maps being pushed through. For years, I’ve been saying what happens in Louisiana will impact America. Here we are. This week, the Louisiana House of Representatives plans to pass maps that dilute Black voting power. Our response cannot be silence. Our response has to be showing up in numbers this November and beginning the work of taking power back.

Spencer Pratt is an elite. Fool blew his $10 million fortune on wine, crystals and partying. He’s a proven liar. Said he was living in a trailer when in fact, he staying in a $1500-a-night hotel in one of the richest parts of LA flanked by personal armed security. While it’s terrible that he lost his house in the fire, he didn’t have homeowners insurance and admitted he was house poor. Thinking it’s a terrible idea to put a political novice who cannot manage his own personal finances in charge of a complex city with a $15 billion budget isn’t “sneering elitism” — it is called common sense.

Agree. They wanted it rushed so Republicans may have an advantage in the midterms. SCOTUS gave them that advantage in a major ruling that affected almost every southern state, which also immediately redirected mid-decade. Their ruling could have applied to regular decade redistricting, so fairer lines could be drawn with Democrats' input.

I find it interesting that Trump supporters have never seen these videos. They claim there is no footage of that day. 😳 I watched it in real time on TV when it was happening, just like Trump. 1. FYI, the footage is all over the internet. 2. You can CLEARLY see them breaking windows. The law says that’s breaking and entering. 3. I’ve been to the Capitol, you have to go through security to enter. You don’t enter through broken windows. That’s just a fact.
