It's sad for us to hear that you have lost previous files. If you have any recent backup of your whole iPad with iCloud or on a computer, you can try Restoring the iPad to a previous state from a backup as it may recover previously saved data in Procreate (as explained at: procre.at/restore). Please keep in mind that a restoration will wipe your iPad, so be sure to save any other important data to a cloud service or external storage before restoring. Likewise, it is recommended to export copies of your files regularly, to any location you prefer as a backup (such as DropBox, Google Drive, or a computer). — 🙇‍♀️ We understand as well that backup or restoration options can be useful, and we are actively working towards better backup solutions for the future. We wish to bring the improved engine from Procreate Dreams into Procreate, which includes the option of automatic iCloud syncing with your files and access to the Recently deleted folder in Files app - this may take some time in development, but we work very hard to improve all our apps further. - For any future queries about Procreate apps feel free to contact us anytime, via the Support Form at: procre.at/support - we are always happy to help however possible!

My iPad randomly died, I cant repair it or replace it. I trusted the icloud backup with procreate but it didnt save a single thing from procreate, only a couple of brushes, but *none* of my drawing files. I lost tons of drawings.

@Procreate !!! You guys NEED to add cloud storage for *files*. Its an extremely principal requirement. Brushes are the least thing i care about if my ipad d1es. I need the FILES!

Hi there - Procreate does not currently keep an undo history after you exit a canvas. @Procreate I resized down one of my works for social media and accidentally got back to the gallery. I can't get back the original size! Don't tell me I lost it. 🥲

@Procreate Update: i was silly and didnt do the classic “turn it off and back on again” strat 😆 force restart fixed it 🫶🏼

@Procreate This update is horrible, and the app is buggy. Please fix it. It's getting increasingly difficult to stay with an app that gets worse with every update.

@Procreate I don't get why you had to move the group button inside a drop down menu while it's such a frequently used feature! before the update, I only need to tap once but now I need to tap twice 😞

@Procreate Yes! The force restart helped👁️ And about the new layers menu it’s not my favorite as it takes the immediate “group layer” command and it’s mostly a muscle memory issue

Did Procreate had an evil update or is just my iPad crashing out, jsjajs I’m going insane I can’t move layers and doing group layers is now a hassle LOL @Procreate help me my beloved

@paperjimin @Procreate for real, the muscle memory makes this update a serious downgrade. why cant we get cool updates, like channel editing!? or more file types like dds !?

We're sad to hear you had a data loss in the past 😔 Updates shouldn't remove any data, however as Procreate stores data locally we always recommend creating backups to keep your files safe just in case something does go wrong. @AlmendriWW @Procreate I haven’t updated it in a longtime. Didn’t do the big one because I didn’t know how to save my brushes and paintings from being nuked like before lol… hope they fix the bug.

@AlmendriWW mine was doing an annoying thing where like it was only color picking from the layer i was on, never had that happen before

Please note the Eyedropper can select from either the whole canvas and the active layer. Tap a finger on the canvas while using the tool to toggle between these modes. For the other issues: Freeze, duplicating brushes, sharing brushes to Procreate Dreams, we'd like to collect more information. @Procreate is there any way to revert this?? the multiple layer actions is awful. grouping layers is so tedious now

@Procreate i’m sure it was all in good intentions, but the way the bulk actions is laid out really complicates the layers panel. i miss being able to group layers easily and quickly!!
