@TheTennisLetter If she has volunteered for an anti-doping testing pool, it indicates a comeback. But why will she at 44 try to return to professional tennis? She has nothing to prove.

BREAKING:
Serena Williams will be eligible to return to professional tennis in 13 days… if she chooses.
The ITIA has updated its list of reinstatements, indicating her 6 months of re-entry in the anti-doping testing pool will be completed by February 22nd.
Smells like a comeback. 🐐

@cajun_vegas Younger players w any sort of potential consistently priced crazy anymore. Ymer was 9/1+ down a break super early in the second set against Kouame that 16yr old. Got a MP from there to no avail lol

Plays will be sparse for a while as I'm still having trouble getting a read on these lines and line movements. It would be one thing if it was just the oddsmakers or just the betting market, but it seems to be both that aren't making sense.
The easy answer on the surface would be to just bet what you think has value and not worry about line movement. That could work, and I may have no choice but to do that eventually, but I'd prefer to have CLV on the majority of my plays as it basically guarantees long-term profit.
This Bondar line opened around -150, shot up to -225, and then made a U-turn for no reason and it's in the -180 to -190 range currently. I'd personally have it -250 or more and there's no legitimate reason for anyone to play Oliynykova here unless you think clay success = hard court success, and that's just not the case in tennis.
It's crazy just how many matches have lines that are sketchy. The only thing I've been able to identify is that younger players are valued extremely higher than in the past. This sucks because that was one of the best places to find value in the past, especially in smaller tournaments.
But it's not just that younger players have become unbettable. The shift is so extreme that you're stuck having to play the other side, which I'd rather not have to do in most cases. Set 1 betting on qualifiers has sort of become ruined in the process too.
So one of two things will happen. Things will remain this way, and I will have to adapt and continue betting more favorites. Or it will switch back at some point. But for now I'd rather sit back and observe for a bit.
