This weekend is one of the motorsport weekends when you don’t know where to look next. But if you want to fall in love with motorsport all over again then you can’t do any better than Donington Historic Festival. National circuit, paddock open all weekend, and hundreds of cars spanning the eras, from pre war racers to modern GTs. It is proper motorsport theatre, up close and unapologetically loud. Today we welcomed a group from @BowraFoundation to Prodrive. They joined us for a full tour, taking in the places where race and rally cars are designed, built and prepared, plus the workshops and specialist areas that make it all happen, from fabrication and wiring, to assembly and our Powertrain Development Centre. Not to mention seeing our Heritage Collection up close and testing themselves in our Racing Simulator. It was a pleasure to open the doors and share what we do, with a group focused on helping former service personnel find purpose through shared experiences and strong friendships. Two championships, one pit stop. You can trace the echoes of last weekend in small clues, a scuffed number panel, the film of brake dust, the tool trays already laid out on the floor. The championships may go from #Imola to @circuitspa, and @SilverstoneUK to @Oulton_Park, but both roads run through Banbury first. Before the cars go their separate ways again, they come back here to be taken apart, looked over, and put back together, ready to do it all over again. This is the bit most people never see. Not the headlines or highlight reels of the race weekends, just the in between. We are still buzzing after yesterday’s Scramble. There can be hustle and bustle, but there’s always time for a proper conversation. It was great to listen in as Dan Prosser and @Andrew_Frankel from @theintercoolerx sat down with Prodrive Chairman David Richards to talk about cars, competition, and the ideas that sit behind a lifetime in motorsport. With the backdrop of David’s @OfficialWRC-winning Ford Escort Mk II sat just outside, it was a great start to the day. Elsewhere, people could get up close to the Honda BAR 006 Formula 1 car. Two vastly different cars, but with the same obsession and attention to detail. If you look closely at the Honda’s rear wing, and you can find each team member’s name. A small reminder that behind every big result are many people who put in the hard work to make it all real. Thanks to @Wearescramblers and Bicester Motion for another fantastic Sunday. Another truly glorious day at Goodwood. Special mention to Anthony Reid in the Prodrive built Ford Mondeo Super Touring Car and congratulations to Rob Huff in the Vauxhall who took the title today. Seeing the Super Touring cars back on track is a proper reminder of how quick, loud, and busy this era looked at its peak in the late 1990s. Practice was just that, but these drivers and these cars still have it. Qualifying is where it gets serious. #83MM

Precision wins everywhere this weekend, over the kerbs, up against walls, or door mirror to door mirror. At @autodromoimola, @FIAWEC opens its season on the iconic circuit where lap time comes from riding the kerbs properly to gain time whilst getting decisions right across six hours of traffic and strategy. Over in Long Beach, @IMSA teams will be tackling concrete walls and narrow exits, where calm execution beats overcommitment as mistakes carry a high cost when the track limits are solid. Back in the UK, the @BTCC season launches at @DoningtonParkUK with racing as intense as ever, with door mirrors inches apart from the first lap. And down at @GoodwoodMC, that same touring car DNA takes centre stage as Super Touring cars return to the Members Meeting, with live demonstrations and a timed Shootout reminding everyone where the culture came from. After thirteen days and five thousand kilometres, Thursday saw one last push back to Jeddah. The Badawi Trail saved its last moments for celebration. Mountains gave way to desert, and sand found its way into every seam, but the Ritz Carlton courtyard became the finish line for an adventure only a few experience.
