The next time my mom even insinuates that I don't do [fill in the blank w/something positive], I'll remind her of the wrap around the store line I stood in for her at 6:30am for $5 Old Navy pajamas.

I enjoyed writing this paper. Cool methods. Cool data. In an effort to push us beyond racial resentment as the only way to think and talk about racial attitides, the results highlight an array of racial ideologies swirling around the US.

@dadakim You working on this RIGHT now? My understanding is the 2020 CMPS will be available soon, and there's a huge sample of Black folks who disclose their country of origin.

This activity is in an upper-division elective on comparative race & ethnic politics. Students will have read first 1/2 of @ProfCandis's Black Mosaic. My students typically don't have much experience with data analysis/viz, so I have a strong preference for something simple.

Do any of my colleagues here have suggestions for data analysis websites I could use in teaching about the varied policy preferences among Black Americans? I used to use electioneve2020.com for the exercise in the image below, but it's not there anymore.

BTW, have you assigned podcast in your classes previously? If so, how did your students respond and engage with the material delivered that way? Are there any podcasts or episodes that you especially like to share with students?
