@VP1TrueAnderson I met the most incredible Dr. Al in 2016 at the Permian Basin Fair. I was brand new. OC had a karaoke machine, and she started singing. Such a beautiful voice! We started talking and I have adored her ever since!

This Teacher Appreciation Week, we celebrate the incredible Dr. Almudena Aguirre-Romero as she embarks on her well-earned retirement! Her greatest gift? Building lasting relationships with staff and students—lifting others, mentoring with grace, and always leading with heart. 💙

@sage_stage I'll add one. HS counselor told me & my parents I would never be more than a SAHM-HW. I am a college professor with 6 kids, an EdD, & halfway through a Dr in Occ Safety & Health. Underestimate me, that will be fun.

With the number of "my teacher told me I'd never be successful but look at me now" posts I've been seeing, I'm thinking about trying this as a strategy
