🚨 New paper! 🚨Our systematic review discovered that obesity is driving a mixed pattern of inflammation in the airways of adults with asthma, with increased neutrophils in the lumen (sputum) and increased eosinophils in the lung tissue. thorax.bmj.com/content/early/…

SO excited to share our team has received an #MRFF grant to test the first individualised obesity management approach for adults with asthma! We will test the efficacy of this personalised approach, and try to untangle the mechanisms driving poorer outcomes in this population.
