Some news! So on Friday, David and I got civilised. It's taken us the best part of 20 years to make it legal! We kept it secret & only @fionatwycross & Jan Thomas Moldung were there as our witnesses. We had an impromptu family party at Mum and Dad's afterwards.

Got together today with this lovely lot today to plan a joint article on our collective experience & what kept us trucking through our doctorates. Reflections on our connections to each other, the nursing profession, the desire to do more & the commitment to complete our research

In the last 2 months I've presented my research on professional enjoyment of nursing a number of times to a wide range of audiences. What I've realised is how much the impact of enjoyment on teams and the people we support resonates with others. The power of enjoyment is profound

It is a busy time of year. Many students are starting their nursing, midwifery & nursing associate programmes; leaving home or what they know & feel safe in. I just want to say welcome to our professions, this is a big step but the journey is worth it. Be proud of yourself
