Today is my last day as a Professor. Tomorrow I become Professor Emeritus. The 50+ years I've been in the field has seen revolutionary advances in both biology and computer science and it has been a joy to in the midst of that.

Today is such a special day. @SCSatCMU celebrated three chair professorships, including the one that I received last year. This is a great honor that would not have been possible without the help and support from many people. BTW, I got a new piece of furniture for my office!

COVID finally found us after 3 years. We've been down and out since last week. Not sure what variant hit us but it wasn't "mild". Was particularly worried about the wife (and our baby that is due in a month). But it looks like they pulled through fine. On the path to recovery 1/
