When society no longer respects teachers, students won't respect them, and soon there will be no teachers, leaving a void in education that will compromise the very future of society.

This is not a new graphic but it shows the difference between the terms used to describe the students v the programs they might participate in. ♥️ English learner has a heavy emphasis on a singular language and what students are unable to do to which some feel is deficit based. Multilingual learner focuses on all of the languages students have and are acquiring and some feel it is more asset based.
