I think I’m not as evil as I know I could be, and that’s something the world should celebrate.

a lot of gay people 30+ are navigating delayed emotional/relationship milestones because many of us couldn’t openly date in our teens. then you add how transactional queer dating can (sometimes) feel and it’s harder to build something that feels fully grounded.

it’s crazy how many gays have never been in a relationship

There’s a reason “medical” is added before that “doctor.” It’s a stolen title.
The word doctor comes from the Latin word docēre, meaning “to teach.” Originally, it referred to teachers/scholars/academics, not medical practitioners.

NOBODY SHOULD BE CALLED DOCTORS EXCEPT MEDICAL DOCTORS!!!!!!

What began as a love letter to Chicago’s South Side became one of the most important Black stories ever told on television.
For years, The Chi gave us community, conversation, heartbreak, healing, joy, and characters that felt like family. It made Chicago feel like home while spotlighting the beauty, complexity, and humanity of life with care and intention.
Now, as the longest-running Black drama series in premium cable and streaming history, ESSENCE honors the legacy of a cultural institution that changed the landscape of storytelling forever.
This is their final curtain call, and serves as a standing ovation to the stories, performances, and cultural impact that made The Chi a defining force in television.
Featuring Lena Waithe, Luke James, Hannaha Hall, Birgundi Baker, Jacob Latimore, and Jason Weaver, this moment is both a celebration and a thank you. To the cast. To the city. To the culture.
Some stories entertain us.
The Chi became a part of us.

@saltburnSon That’s another issue too. The degree you pick matters. Not enough thorough research is done. And these will be the main people hollering degrees don’t matter. Like well yeah a degree in sociology isn’t going to get you much? You’d probably need to pursue higher education
English

@iamKierraD My concern is it seems like people go get degrees without in-depth research on the job market and then are left with low paying or no job.
We depth could have a conversation about community college, trades, etc where you aren’t going into lots of debt ya know?
English

Mind you, degrees are already essential. People see a few anomalies being amplified in high profile/high paying roles and assume the value of degrees has dropped.
If they weren’t that important, you wouldn’t see the top universities having more applicants than ever.

Idc, get your education. They telling y’all there’s no value now to discourage everyone from getting their degrees. Eventually, it’ll be essential again. You’ll see jobs posting they’re required. And in certain fields, it surely is required. Beyond a bachelor’s actually!
English

@Strawberry23863 Wow I had no idea that was occurring although it doesn’t surprise me either. Once they see people catching on and getting ahead, they shut the door!
English

@ProficientMinds Every single non-blue collar job requires a bachelor's. They are also starting to gate-keep entrance into high paying trades and the training required is expensive as well. Best to do everything in your power to get in before it's next to impossible.
