If you support or excuse what happened on Oct 7th….burning people alive, raping women, mutilating bodies ….then you must support any group with a grievance doing the exact same thing. Indigenous Canadians torching neighborhoods? Native Americans massacring civilians? Any minority, anywhere, with a list of historical wrongs? You don’t get to cheer selective barbarism. Rape, torture, and slaughter aren’t ‘resistance.’ They’re evil. Full stop.

You specifically addressed me, and my comment was very simple: if you see people tearing down posters connected to a missing child case, try to identify them because it could potentially obstruct a Level 1 missing person investigation. As a decent Canadian, my vested interest in this is finding a missing child ASAP. You’re the one acting as though the possibility is somehow absurd, when Oct 7th posters were torn down across cities for months, some of which I personally witnessed. So no, the concern is not exactly coming out of nowhere.

Wow, the instinct to immediately suspect the person documenting the hatred says more about the climate we’re living in than anything else. I just had to read some of the replies from Canadian accounts openly celebrating the removal of these posters, to know the level of vile antisemitic commentary is disturbing enough that it’s entirely believable there are people who would feel no hesitation tearing down posters of a missing Jewish child. That should alarm people far more than the individual who exposed it. The real story is how comfortable this kind of hatred has become in public.

Funny how “Nazi” gets thrown around while the world mobilizes residency, housing, social support, protests, & nonstop advocacy for Palestinians. The Oct 7th victims certainly weren’t met with that level of global compassion. And coming from someone in France, you’d think the response would be, “Fine, let’s welcome them with open arms then.” Instead, it’s just the usual moral posturing & recycled outrage. Get lost.

Okay, and if anyone gets any video or photos of the people doing this, you might want to consider posting them online to help identify the culprits. This is a serious effort to locate a missing child. Any decent Torontonians would be outraged that someone is actively trying to obstruct the search.

Start pulling the camera footage & publicly identifying whoever tears these posters down. Intentionally tearing down posters for a missing child during an active search could intersect with several legal issues, including mischief and interference with search efforts.

Well if anyone has video or photos of people ripping these posters down, send them to Toronto Police or tip line. This is not a joke. Deliberately removing missing person posters during an active Level 1 police search for a missing 14-year-old autistic girl can be considered mischief & interference with a police investigation under the Criminal Code. It should be documented and reported immediately. Hoping she’s found safe and unharmed very soon. 🙏

Ripping down posters of a missing 14-year-old autistic girl who’s been gone for over a week - while police & hundreds of volunteers are desperately searching for her - is bottom-of-the-barrel scum. It doesn’t matter what your politics are. This isn’t some abstract political statement. This is actively making it harder to find a vulnerable child.

This goes beyond “imploring supporters.” If people are intentionally tearing down posters of a missing 14-year-old during an active search, that could potentially constitute criminal mischief by deliberately interfering with lawful public notices connected to search efforts. If anyone witnesses it, document it, take photos/video if possible, and report it to police.
