Do you think Ananta will be better than NTE? Ananta is an upcoming free-to-play open-world action RPG by NetEase. It’s set in a modern urban fantasy city called Nova City, where you play as a supernatural investigator known as an “Infinite Trigger,” dealing with strange paranormal events. The game features fast-paced exploration with vehicles, parkour, and web-swinging-style movement, plus action combat where you switch between multiple characters, each with unique abilities. Alongside the main story, you can explore the city, complete side missions, and interact with everyday urban life. Unlike many similar games, Ananta does not rely heavily on gacha mechanics—instead, characters are unlocked through gameplay, while monetization focuses mainly on cosmetics. It’s often compared to a mix of GTA-style freedom, anime visuals, and Spider-Man-like traversal, making it one of the most anticipated upcoming RPGs.
