If minimum wage is increased to N500,000 a month, and the price of a bottle of Coca-Cola rises to N25,000, you are simply trying to use a raffia basket to carry water Increasing the minimum wage without an increase in productivity is fake life

Why is everyone shying away from the truth? The FG borrowed & spent $1.5 billion revamping two refineries (Port Harcourt & Warri) with a total allocation of $2.96 billion. $1.5 billion on port harcourt, $897m on Warri. That’s over 4 trillion naira. Warri & Port Harcourt refineries are not working, like NONE is functioning!
Abiodun@bin_gbada

We will not be at Alhaji’s mercy if any of our refineries are working despite the billon of dollars spent on them. Why is no one talking about this? How??

BREAKING: The Federal Government has given more companies permission to import petrol into Nigeria. This means Dangote Refinery will no longer be the only major supplier. Consumers win again! Thank you FG.

Nobody is asking why NNPC is not selling fuel at N500 or less when it was them that misappropriated billions of Naira earmarked for the revitalization of state owned refineries. I have no doubt that having 3 working state owned refineries would push any player in the market to adjust their pricing accordingly to compete. So if there is any party that is ripping Nigerians off then it’s the FG through NNPCL. But trust Nigerians to always channel their anger towards anyone but the incompetent, wicked, heartless, and unpatriotic government they elected to manage their resources.

I just laugh when people say Dangote will save Nigeria from the fuel crisis. The man is a capitalist, not a saint. If care isn't taken, he'll become a monopolist in the petroleum sector just like he is in cement. One person having that much control is never good for consumers. Competition is what keeps prices fair and businesses accountable, not putting all our hopes in one billionaire
Imran Muhammad@Imranmuhdz

Dangote Refinery has reduced the ex-depot price of petrol by ₦50 per litre, adjusting it from ₦1,175 to ₦1,125 per litre. The refinery attributes the reduction in petrol prices to the easing of tensions in the Middle East, which has led to a decrease in global energy prices. A notice to customers indicated that the gantry loading price has been reduced from ₦1,175 per liter to ₦1,125 per liter, while the coastal supply price has decreased from ₦1,495,215 per metric ton to ₦1,428,165 per metric ton.

@sadiqGsadiq Wrong question. Ask your FG and NNPC why they sell for that amount. Dangote is a private business man

I know our government is heartless, and I never expected them to slash fuel prices even after the war. My genuine question is, why’s Dangote still selling fuel for 1k plus per litre? Not like i trust a monopolist, but isn’t he supposed to be somehow better than them?

We need more import licences to be issued on PMS. I am tired of buying fuel at ₦1,300 per litre. I didn’t come to Abuja to work for one man.

Those critiquing Dangote for not immediately reducing the price of PMS because crude prices have fallen have no idea how the oil market works.

The can fund Hajj. They can fund bandits. They can fund data boys. They can fund Jerusalem. They can fund propaganda. They can fund Fake Bishops. They can fund campaign rice. They can fund presidential jet. They can fund GO TO COURT! They can fund campaign buses. They can fund presidential yacht. They can fund Akpabio & gluttons. They can fund repentant terrorists. They can fund thugs & vote buying. They can fund City Boys Movement. They can fund Julius Abure, Lamidi Apapa, Nafiu Bala, Arabambi, & their counterprotests. They won’t fund International Maths Olympiad for the kids of nobodies to become somebodies That’s the wickedness in high places the Bible told us about. Ephesians 6:12 (KJV). They will never fund the emancipation of the people. They want you poor, uneducated, & beggarly. Nigeria is the worst torture in the world. That’s where a dream dies & is buried. Your place of birth determines how far you go in life. Being born a Nigerian, life already led you 10-nil. Ten Nigerian athletes were excluded from the Tokyo 2020 Olympics because the Athletics Federation of Nigeria (AFN) failed to meet the strict anti-doping testing requirements that were necessary to clear them for competition. Favour Ofili was omitted from the Paris 2024 Olympic 100m because the AFN & the Nigerian Olympic Committee failed to register her for that event, despite the sprinter’s qualification. Nigeria’s relay teams were disqualified from the 2025 World Athletics Championships in Tokyo because Visa delays & administrative failures forced the country to withdraw from the World Relays in China, a critical qualification event. These are some of the many ways that Nigeria can happen to anyone without even apologizing Nigeria is trauma & trepidation. Realizing there is nothing you can do — makes it even worse!
