I have never fully understood the concept of non-penalty goals. Why don’t we have a similar category called non-left-footed goals to see how the results compare? Aren’t penalties an integral part of the game?
It seems like you are focusing on taking one of Ronaldo’s strengths from the comparison to make Messi’s numbers appear better, which makes the overall comparison feel unfair and irrelevant.
That said, I still believe Messi is the GOAT, but I think comparisons should be conducted fairly and evenly.
