In the face of all that, my grandfather instilled in his entire family the importance of making your voice heard at the ballot box. I believe in fairness, I believe in equality, and I believe that ultimately people should be kind to one another.

I’m Micheal Davis, Jr., Executive Director of Promote the Vote, and I wanted to re-introduce myself. My grandfather is the reason I care so deeply about protecting–and promoting–our right to vote.

It doesn’t sit right with me when any person or a community is bullied into silence. The elected officials we vote into office and the policies they create impact our everyday existence and the future we’re working so hard to build.
