@SouthernRailUK just to say, the OBS in 1H18, 10:18 LBG-LIT is an absolute superstar. I’ve had a mare and lost my wallet and she’s been both helpful and compassionate. An absolute credit and she deserves some praise for a job well done and being a throughly decent person :-)

I had a lot of fun helping to make this. I’ve long said the railway is a special industry and it’s given me so much. You can’t be what you can’t see though, so I’m always more than happy to try and represent, and hopefully help inspire.

@shellienic Haha same. I started on the platforms in 2003 as a slightly lost 18yr old who didn’t know what she wanted from life. 22 years later……😂😂😂

@ProppaGander Definitely. The railway started as stop-gap for me after I graduated uni in 2002… nearly 23yrs later… 🤣

@ProppaGander I’m based at Birmingham New Street. I think we have maybe 10 women drivers - I doubt that’s even 10%. There’s more women conductors, but even still it’s quite male dominated. I love it & wouldn’t swap it for the world.

@shellienic Thank you! That’s kind of you to say. The tide is turning and I love seeing all the women coming into the industry now. Before I left my old TOC there were so many compared to when I started. How is it where you are?
