After 48 hours from inoculation, the shoot was anlyzed by means of contocal microscopy which revelead the presence of green fluorescence puncta corresponding to fluorescent endophytes (Fig. B and C).

Arabidopsis seedlings, expressing the genetically encoded Ca2+ indicator (R-GECO1, red), were grown in plates on agar medium. Droplets of a suspension cultures of an endophyte expressing GFP were applied to the root tip of 7-day-old Arabidopsis seedlings (green) (Fig. A)👇

In the from of @Prosit04952735 , at the @LaStatale University of Milan, prelimary experiments have started to investigate the localization within Arabidopsis thaliana tissues of some endophytes isolated from Sicilian grapevine varieties. 👇

New experiment for PROSIT! Vine plants, inoculated with consortia of endophytes are now at the LANDLAB, where they will be subjected to water stress conditions. The aim is to measure the response of inoculated plants to drought and the impact of endophytes on the plants.

Second project meeting on 14.05.2024, to take stock of technical progress and define next steps. The first 5 months of 2024 are characterised by experiments to test the potential of microorganisms and the response of plants. First results are expected in early summer.

An article dedicated to the Prosit Project has been published in the prestigious scientific journal The Plant Journal. Prosit's approach is new perspective for agricolture and can be a new model for others area of horticolture. Read the full article on prosit-prima.eu

Online the 2018-2022 Report of the @PrimaProgram! 5 years of activity, 202 funded projects. Among them PROSIT, led by the @DiBio_UniPD of Padua, which together researchers from Algeria, France and Germany aims to make vine plants resilient to drought. @mur_gov_ @primaitaly

PROSIT: A CASE STUDY. The role of endophytes in the sustainable management of agro-ecosystems. A lecture by Davide Pacifico, Coordinator of the Prosit Project, for the CNR IBBR in Palermo,last 12 January, for farms, organised by the GAL Santa Maria di Leuca.

PROSIT was presented by Coordinator Prof. Michela Zottini, on Monday 8 January at the @DiBio_UniPD of Padua as part of the event ‘Focus Areas: meeting with the winners of collaborative projects’, organised by the University.

New milestone for the Prosit Project! For the preliminary stage of drought tolerance tests the plants are now at the LANDLAB. Here the University of Padua team is starting the first stages of testing about plants drought tolerance.
