رصدت كاميرا مثبتة على سطح أحد المباني في ليما قطة رمادية نحيلة للغاية، لدرجة أنك تستطيع رؤية أضلاعها، وهي ملقاة بلا حراك على جانبها فوق الخرسانة لساعات. في الساعة الثامنة صباحًا، حطّ غراب على حافة السطح وفي منقاره قطعة خبز. الغربان لا تشارك طعامها مع غيرها، ولا تُطعم الحيوانات الأخرى، وبحسب ما يعرفه علماء الأحياء، كان من المفترض أن يأكل الغراب الخبز ويغادر. اقترب الغراب من القطة، ووضع الخبز على الأرض أمام أنفها، ثم تراجع خطوتين، وبقي واقفًا ورأسه مائل حتى رفعت القطة أنفها وبدأت في الأكل. بعد سبع دقائق، طار الغراب وعاد بقطعة أخرى. سجلت الكاميرا قيامه بنفس الرحلة أربع مرات في ساعة واحدة، وهو يحضر الخبز من مكان مجهول، بينما كانت القطة تأكل ببطء، ورأسها لا يزال ملتصقًا بالأرض لأنها لم تكن تملك القوة للوقوف. في اليوم التالي، راجع أحد الجيران التسجيل وصعد للبحث عن القطة. فوجدها جالسة على حافة السطح، تنظر إلى السماء، والغراب يقف على بُعد نصف متر تقريبًا، كما لو كانا ينتظران معًا شيئًا لا يعرفه سواهما. تتلقى القطة العلاج في عيادة، ولا يزال الغراب يظهر على سطح المنزل كل صباح في تمام الساعة الثامنة ومعه قطعة خبز لم يعد لديه من يعطيها إياها.
