Mustang Boys 2025–2026 Season Recap League: 10–6 Non-League: 0–5 Playoffs: 2–3 Overall: 12–14 The Mustang boys entered the 2025–2026 season with a major challenge ahead of them, needing to replace nearly 60 points per game from last year’s team. Prosser returned three seniors who saw significant playing time the previous season, along with a talented group of sophomores who would quickly be asked to contribute at the varsity level. Despite the youth and inexperience, the Mustangs developed throughout the season and averaged 65.3 points per game. Team Leaders in Scoring •Daniel Diaz — 12.5 ppg •Branden Clarke — 11.6 ppg •Dalin Cortes — 11.3 ppg •Liam Bailey — 7.2 ppg •Autry Hoefer — 5.4 ppg Career-High Scoring Games (Upperclassmen) •Adrian Rivera — 24 points •Branden Clarke — 28 points •Noah Medrano — 13 points Career-High Scoring Games (Sophomores) •Daniel Diaz — 25 points •Liam Bailey — 23 points •Autry Hoefer — 13 points •Owen Denny — 9 points •Dion Martinez — 9 points First Varsity Points •Liam Bailey •Blake Knox •Dion Martinez •Elijah Schafer CWAC Honors •Second Team: Branden Clarke, Dalin Cortes •Honorable Mention: Noah Medrano With three sophomores playing significant minutes and four more seeing varsity action, the Mustangs gained valuable experience throughout the season. That development should pay dividends, as the foundation built this year points toward a bright future for Prosser basketball over the next few seasons.

The Lady Mustangs played their hearts out tonight. They fought, they clawed, and nearly pulled off the comeback, but basketball can be a cruel game sometimes. The Lynden Lions jumped out to a 12–0 run to start the game and built a 19–3 lead after the first quarter. Prosser would battle back the rest of the way, outscoring the Lions 46–40 over the final three quarters, but the early deficit proved just a little too much to overcome. Prosser responded in the second quarter, outscoring Lynden 16–9. @dee24_phillips knocked down two key three-pointers to help bring the Mustangs within 9 points. Lynden answered again, however, closing the half by scoring the final six points to extend their lead. The Mustangs continued their push in the third quarter, outscoring the Lions 13–6 to cut the deficit to 40–32 heading into the fourth. Prosser made one last run to start the final quarter. @herbieWright10 hit two free throws, Phillips converted a three-point play, Chapman knocked down a three and then added a basket, and Carter drilled a big three-pointer to pull the Mustangs within three at 48–45. But despite the late surge, a few key shots just wouldn’t fall down the stretch and the Mustangs came up just short. Scoring •@herbieWright10 — 14 •@dee24_phillips — 13 •Chapman — 10 •Bailey — 6 •Cox — 3 •Carter — 3
