@SisterAnemone Personal i think ai gets a bad rep because mist companies and people think its a tool that will solve every and all problems no matter wgat, wgen the technology isn't even in its infancy yet theres still alot of trials that need testing

I think that people have become so scared of/disgusted by genAI that they have forgotten that AI and other tools like it are meant to eliminate menial tasks so you can spend more time creating for yourself... A tool installed on your PC that uses your own CPU made to point you toward key times in a VOD that would make good clips seems useful, for example. It's not taking away the artistry of editing your own clips- it's eliminating hours and hours of monotonous timeline scrubbing that would otherwise be basically down the drain. Auto generated closed captions are also great for accessibility- if you are HoH, then you literally NEED captions/image descriptions to be able to take in pretty much any information online. I personally do not like or have any interest in using genAI for art or writing. As an artist and writer myself, the process of creation is a big part of the enjoyment I get FROM creating! But even I have to remind myself that anything that says AI is not inherently "evil" just for having those 2 letters. Now, the impact datacenters are having on the local environment and the communities they have been placed in is an entirely different story;;
