@Hapless23 I may check this out. I do enjoy Blackjack, and my anhedonia following purchase of the Fancy Toy has been odd, and rough.

@PrsdntRaygun I bounced off Balatro, Dice A Million, and Cloverpit but I guess blackjack is my drug of choice (helps that in the early game I could still advance the story while figuring out all the synergies even though I was losing a lot)

@DietCoke_Esq I’ve done it myself. That was after waking up with the spins, some frantic googling, and reading the Wikipedia entry. Still got it to work for me after a few tries. Prolly even better with a Dr.

Has anyone gotten the Epley Maneuver done before? My doctor says my crystals are all dislodged from the concussion, and that's why I have the spins whenever I move my head

I have enough debts from law school that I'm inflation curious. But then I see the price of pizza.

I will note that no translator I know has ever just rendered it purely literally as 'many-turned' (Fagles is closest, 'the man of twists and turns'). It has gotten 'prudent' (1669), 'resourceful' (1946), 'of many ways' (1967) 'of many wiles' (1990), 'cunning' (2000), etc. etc.

For the benefit of this chuckle-nut who thinks 'complicated' is an error for πολύτροπον, rather than a translator's choice, here is the definition block for πολύτροπον from the LSJ - published in 1843 - with the relevant bit highlighted.

In Emily Wilson’s own explanation of why she misleadingly translated ‘polytropos’ (literally ‘many-turned’ or ‘many-turning’) to the pejorative epithet ‘complicated’ when describing Odysseus, she gives the correct translation:
