Even Zack was more careful with it when it was passed to him. ๐
If the condition it's in during AC is anything to go by, there's absolutely no saving that sword both in canon and my own portrayal. That sword is a goner. :(

Waiting for the day Cloud gets a nasty gut punch like Zack in CC all because of what Cloud's done to the Buster Sword. ๐ญ
Though, I guess that punch in the face he got from Angeal recently kind of counts.

The sheer level of neglect to Angeal's beloved sword (THAT HE WOULDNT USE FOR THIS REASON) just rips my heart out.
There's no fixing that level of rust even if Cloud gave a damn. Too busy swinging it, staining it in blood and whatnot instead. ๐ญ
