I’m so overwhelmed by the prayers and kind words from so many. While the surgery was almost 3 hours longer than expected he is now in icu recovering. He continues to be on the ventilator and the doctors and nurses are trying to manage his pain. If you can pray for his recovery

I didn’t read Silent Spring until a decade ago, thinking it was an out-dated classic. Holy shit, was I wrong! It’s a brilliant piece of work, perhaps more important now than ever, & every time I re-read it I am shaken awake. 80% of US citizens should read it this month.
