First ever PSA submission.
Received my first 2 cards back today.
Pretty disappointing as I’ve seen much worse looking copies as 8s at my local shops. That’s what I get for grading during the worst era to grade 😅
Still cool to encapsulate these. Maybe regrade down the line…
Explain to me how Pokémon cards are flying and NFTs are dead?
-It’s a marketing issue
NFTs have a global accessibility to liquidity
Pokémon cards are isolated locally with friction.
NFT market can be 10x bigger.
As an industry we need to do better:
OpenSea needs buying out
I don’t know who needs to hear this but not everyone wants digital assets, esp when it comes to TCGs.
There is a majority out there who actually like holding their physical cards.
Who enjoy pulling their binders out and closely inspecting their cards on occasion, looking at textures and even speculating on grades.
You trying to force everything to be digital will only push them away.
Sorry, but while this might feel ethically questionable to some, it isn't illegal.
Home Depot has developed a well-earned reputation for pricing errors on their merchandise. They deliberately rolled out self-checkout lanes to slash labor costs, fewer employees, lower salaries, and reduced benefits.
Their automated system is black and white: scan the item, the price appears, and that is the price required to complete the sale. Receipt prints. Transaction closes. Final.
If Home Depot doesn't want customers capitalizing on these glitches, they should put actual employees back on the registers to verify prices before the sale is finalized.
This is the direct cost of their own cost-cutting decisions. They chose to remove the human checks. Now they're dealing with the consequences.
I don't feel bad for them in the slightest. You reap what you sow.
i dont think TCG meta is over
i really dont think its same as other shit we got, other stuff was pure memes
this shit dif and im saying that after i sold all my coins at the top
and im looking to redeploy specifically to TCG
People will see the massive difference between Modern & Vintage Pokemon when the market finally cools.
Modern will remain liquid.
Vintage will go back to being illiquid.
A lot of Vintage buyers will become bag holders….
I started writing an article on collectibles but realized I don't want to analyze trading cards. Writing it out feels so lame. Buy cards that you enjoy. Don't buy out of fomo or to flex. If you care about price appreciation, collect things that are investable. That's it.
