Early Today @Rwandapolice have recovered stolen goods belonging to trader Susan Asiimwe after a fraud scheme involving fake payment proof. One suspect is in custody while others remain on the run. Police spokesperson CIP Wellars Gahonzire urges traders to stay alert and verify all transactions to avoid falling victim to such scams. CIP Gahonzire also encouraged the public to promptly report theft cases, noting that police sometimes recover stolen items but fail to identify the rightful owners. He further advised citizens to keep records such as serial numbers for valuable items, particularly electronic devices, to facilitate identification and recovery. He warned against engaging in theft, stressing that crime does not pay. “There is no hiding place for thieves in this country. Theft does not enrich it ultimately leads to ruin,” Gahonzire said.
