I has just been spin by the folks at the Healing Advocacy Fund and the psilocybin training programs that everything is ok.
The industry has been in trouble this year + increased license fees will only make things worse in 2026.

@JackGorsline @Filtermag_org I'm not sure why the Healing Advocacy Fund thinks that creating a medical version of the Oregon program will make services *less* expensive?
Medical insurance will never cover a federally illegal drug, and FDA approval does not lead to broad-based rescheduling.

@JackGorsline Interesting ... I think local decrim efforts are the way to go. Truth be told the Oregon program is in deep trouble as the program will run out of money soon. Once the Healing Advocacy Fund is gone, I don't see who will even advocate for that model.

Grassroots psychedelic advocates in every state across the country should refuse to meet with any PACs or Consultant groups until their mysterious head honchos agree for a sit down meeting.

@gastroinquieto @JackGorsline @PsychStates (1/2) Sure, in 2019 the the average cost of developing a new drug in the United States was estimated to be around $1.2 billion. Even if a drug is approved by the FDA, 1/2 the time the drug does not recoup what the drug company spent.

Can we admit that the policies being pushed by the Healing Advocacy Fund are not worth the millions states pay & the huge debt that folks who spend 10k to become psilocybin facilitators?

Great to see actual data coming out about the Oregon psilocybin program.
Weak demand has stagnated at just around 600 therapeutic clients per month.
But there are still 368 licensed psilocybin facilitators.
Think hard before you go into debt to become a psilocybin facilitator

@ProjectCrcl I care about my friends who want to be healers and are sold training programs for sexy "new careers" that will likely never materialize. They will be left with broken dreams and greater cynicism because they were told to just "manifest positivity." I'm sorry this BS can be toxic.
