@AhsonTariq@FireThroughPSX For a person who is sitting in equity for 10-15-20 years these corrections, profit taking, or price action should not matter and does not matter.
@FireThroughPSX Stay in the market and in a few years you will learn corrections / profit taking / pull backs are an integral part of price movement / market behaviour.
I had interactions with few people who are in loss.
I'm myself down 25% from peak of my portfolio. I'm not worried since this is my free money that I wouldn't need for my expenses for 3 years.
Investing is a luxury. Never invest funds from your needs budget in luxuries.
@StockCompounder@Ahmed633354975 Price also gets at risk as if payout is on much higher side. If div decreases for 2-3 qtrs there would be high probability of major correction till price and payout get at equilibrium
@Ahmed633354975 Completely agree. In case of POL it pays between 75-85% and share price is in upward trajectory. High yield becomes risky when a share payouts everything it earns, like EFERT.
Serious question for income investors 👇
With interest rates where they are today…
👉 Which stocks currently offer dividend yields higher than bank deposit rates?
Drop the names + current yield
Let’s build a high yield watchlist together.
I’ll start with #POL 11-12.8% DY
@HODLTill1000x@StockCompounder JSMFETF is not your typical etf. They change their basket each month.
They haven't laid any paid dividend in 2026. They paid the following dividends in 2025: Q1 Rs 2, Q2 Rs 1, Q3 Rs 1, Q4 Rs 1.
@StockCompounder@sladesword Well it is 13.23% and after 15 filers tax net yield will be 11.25% which is still v.good, but imp is whether this much payout will be continued or not and what if price increases if so then yield will be decreased over new buying.
@sladesword On PSX website it appears that it has paid last dividend in June 2025 of 22.5% whereas it is trading about Rs. 17. Can you please provide the breakdown of 13%?
@StockCompounder@chsohailrafiq I personally think it is investors confidence that would take really long to build on the promotors of bipl and jsbl. There are many many views on capital allocation (policy / decisions) among investors how this most important financial decision is made by the promotors.
@chsohailrafiq BIPL, despite its long market presence, has never seen true price discovery.
Is it inconsistent payouts, governance concerns, low liquidity, or weak investor communication holding it back?
Interested in informed views on what’s structurally limiting it.
This book '''THE INTELLIGENT INVESTOR'' is not less then any miracle in shaping investment philosophy. Iconic writing by Ben Garaham will give you whole new perspective every time.
Highly recommend

Guys instead of buying just for mere price gain look for real value
-Understand whether company operates in buyer's market or seller's market
-Never miss looking at 5-6 years of ROE, Should be well above cost of equity
-Look at WACC, good companies allocate capital cautiously
