Hi everyone! I wanted to take the time to introduce myself. My name is Daniela Ventura and I’m a Senior at The University of Texas at Arlington studying Psychology. I plan to apply for Clinical/Counseling Psychology doctoral programs this cycle.

Yesterday, I submitted my Psychology PhD applications, and I still can’t believe I am here again! I feel so hopeful and deeply grateful for my support system, and mentors. I’m proud to say I’ve done my absolute best, and I’m truly satisfied with my effort. ✨

Latine/x immigrant youth with strong psychosocial resources (high family, peer, and school support, and sense of ethnic identity, and low immigrant stress) were protected from mental illness compared to youth with weak or average psychosocial resources. Therefore, Latine/x immigrant youth may require strong, multilevel psychosocial resources to experience optimal mental health. doi.org/10.1177/109019…
