You’re confusing what the anti core side wants. What you call a filter is the exact opposite. We don’t want to filter Bitcoin transactions. We want to keep Bitcoin the way it has been this entire time because Bitcoin discriminates, not filters. You guys are confusing these concepts. Discrimination keeps a thing pure. Bitcoin has succeeded because it discriminates on what type of a system it is. Every attempt to change it has been rejected and forced to go do it elsewhere (shitcoin industry) and they’ve all failed. It is precisely this discrimination that has been the cause of Bitcoin’s success, and has allowed it to not filter ANY transactions that are “valid” ie narrow in scope. Core devs (that have hijacked Core) are trying to change this and make Bitcoin open to any BS project directly on the man chain. This will trigger mass filtering of all transactions (like MARA’s slipstream) and will force full node running into obsolescence. If you don’t like the idea of intervention and filtering then you need to keep bitcoin the way it is and the only way to do that right now is to switch to Knots (or at a minimum don’t upgrade to any new version, stay still). Jumping on the bandwagon of Bitcoin progressivism and contributing to the open border for access to block space will end in disaster.
