The most successful people tend to have extremely high respect for others at the top of their field because they understand just what it takes to be there, while everyone else underestimates it

Michael Jackson couldn’t read sheet music and wasn’t a trained instrumentalist, but he composed like a human multitrack recorder. Instead of writing notes, he 'sang' every part of a song into a tape machine, drums, basslines, guitar riffs, horn stabs, string sections, harmonies, even reverb cues.
Engineers said he’d walk into the studio with the entire arrangement already finished in his head. He’d beatbox the groove, layer vocalized bass and chords, then sing each string line one by one until the full orchestration existed as stacked vocal tracks. Musicians would then translate those vocal sketches into instruments, often discovering that his “sung” arrangements were harmonically complex and rhythmically precise.
This wasn’t a gimmick, it was how he built some of his biggest hits. Billie Jean, Beat It, Don’t Stop ’Til You Get Enough, and Smooth Criminal all began as fully voiced demos where every element was performed with his mouth.
Producers repeatedly said he had perfect internal pitch and could recall entire arrangements days later without hearing them again. What looked like a limitation, not reading music, became his superpower: he composed directly from imagination to sound, without ever touching a piano.

Do you know that In 1995, the King of Pop himself, Michael Jackson, didn’t just perform at the MTV Video Music Awards 1995 only, he delivered a legendary, era-defining spectacle that reminded the entire world who really runs the stage of Pop. At that time, MTV was struggling with low ratings, but the moment MJ stepped out and launched into that flawless, high-energy medley, everything changed. His performance was so good, iconic and electrifying that it boosted viewership massively that it literally saved MTV from bankruptcy
We’re talking precision, presence, unmatched artistry and every move hit like magic. The crowd lost it, the world tuned in, and the numbers skyrocketed. It wasn’t just a performance… it was a cultural reset. Some fans even believe that night didn’t just revive ratings,it saved MTV itself. 👑🔥
