I am still sick today. Mental illness attacks, whether they're anxiety, panic or depressive, tend to linger like a wet fart, so I'm having an incredibly difficult time today. I was at least able to speak with my therapist for an hour--I almost cancelled on him, but I sucked it up and kept the appointment--and he helped me. But I'm not anywhere near "normal" or "functional" yet. I'll be back at the blog as soon as I possibly can. I am missing part of the Stadium Series party, and that sucks. I want to get back. But my stupid brain chemistry is in charge, and right now, it's being a bit of a tyrant.

In November 1967, ex-Marine John "Chickie" Donohue realized that some of his friends serving in Vietnam needed a morale boost. It was none other than John Donohue, a friend from his old neighborhood in New York, standing by the side of the road, attempting to flag down a ride. What made it even stranger was that Donohue was wearing civilian clothes and carrying a duffel bag full of beer. Donohue then informed McLoone that he had made an 8,000-mile journey from New York to Vietnam specifically to locate his friends and uplift their spirits with some cold brews. McLoone, taken aback by the situation, responded, "That's a hell of a beer run."
