@AnnabelleAcos16 More personable interactions are key to being remembered! An email only goes so far.

Another tip for incoming #ENVIR491 from a #ENVIR492 grad, take phone calls with people! We don't get much of a chance to see each other in person so make sure to call people you work with, having a voice to associate with an email is much more personable.

As a graduate of #ENVIR492 I have some words of wisdom to share: 1. Don't be afraid to send emails to people! If you need anything, people normally more than happy to help. 2. Take every opportunity your site supervisor offers you, who knows what it may lead you to!

@Sage_Dewd I hope more opportunities for funding are made available in the near future. This is some really interesting research.

Unfortunately, Justine says that it is very difficult to acquire funding for eDNA research and some people are skeptical about the benefits of the technology.

Looking back on the entire #POEcap experience I feel that I have grown immensely throughout this process. I am so thankful for all the friends I have made along the way (shoutout #ENVIR492 cohort) and the academic and professional growth I have experienced!
