@TessaF43314 @hodgetwins Detroit’s decline came from the auto industry collapsing . Also, out of about 50 major metro areas in the U.S., only about 4 lean red. The rest are blue that’s where the economy and opportunity are... that's where people want to be.

It's not based solely on economics...it also has to do with how long that demand will last, what businesses have already left, how the tax base has fallen due to people leaving, and the strain on those who remain footing the bill as opposed to those taking advantage of the overblown social programs. For the most part, DESTROYED. Want to open a business in Detroit? Property is cheap. Go for it!

Why can't you even hear yourself? "They move because of cost of living." RIGHT. What determines cost of living? POLITICIANS. Blue stares ARE collapsing from within, and those effected are moving to red states that AREN'T collapsing...but they certainly will collapse if those blue state refugees continue voting for blue issues because they're to ignorant to realize that was the problem in the first place...and THEN where will they go?

Detroit, Chicago, NYC, Portland, Seattle, SanFrancisco, LosAngeles...all destroyed. Were these not high demand cities at one time? They were conservative and thriving until leftist politicians sewed up elections for generations, bringing dysfunction, driving wealthy tax-paying voters to red states. Just as I said, they continue to turn them blue. When a city loses more taxpaying residents than they gain, that's pretty destroyed in MY book.
