@Unclemac Have always thought the same thing. This space does somthing to you. I have a hard time paying an extra couple bucks for a name brand food item at the store, but am utterly reckless with jpgs. Really kind of messed up 😂

Gm, you know what blows my mind in this space? - is the normalcy in the GULF between individual's finances that we experience day to day. I'm not talking the wins/losses - (which are ridiculous too), BUT I'm talking the EVERYDAY spending. These past few weeks I've seen people like myself - "small", dedicated, founders and community members, pull through - save up just enough - and catch the MAYC floor before it gets wildly out of reach (again (forever)). I was a day late and a dollar short to my Mutant twice before I caught it. I saw it at 1.11 when I only had about .7 eth, I saw it sell at 1.25 when I only had about .9 eth, And even when I was buying it, I genuinely almost missed it again because of being £1 of gas short. (You can see my wallet before buying, you'll see the £1 of eth I transferred in) And since then we've seen the momentum only grow, with people picking up first BAYC, another BAYC, and Grail BAYC alike - and I'm sat here like 🤯 Buying a £3k Mutant is a WILDLY extravagant expense for me - so seeing on the timeline/being in group chats with people as they buy a first, second, third, 50th Bored Ape for £20k+ is MIND MELTING. Literally spending a HOUSE DEPOSIT on a picture - a small/modest house deposit, a house deposit I don't even have 😂 There's no point to this ramble, just expressing the objective, outside view, and absurdity of the space. Anyway, I love NFTs, and I'm here for the nonsense. And now that I'm in the best club on the internet - I'll do my damnedest to stay. Apechain on Top! Return to Monke!

Midweek MineKart Update! It took some effort but you can now play as your @BoredApeYC Mutants and Apes in minekart.app You'll need to have your Assets, shadows, delegated to your Glyph wallet - if you'd done the @OthersideMeta Arsham checker or followed all the @WelcomeApes steps (which includes delegate your shadow) - then you should be good to go. Hit the Rider Tab in the headerbar to set any of your Apes as your selected Rider. I'm gonna get to work now on adding as many of the Otherside Avatars on @apecoin @ApeChainHUB as I can - so that you can play as any/most of your Favourite collections. I'm also most of the way through adding in New Biomes and Gameplay sections of Shaft. I've also implemented a few more anti-cheat tricks to catch out the cheeky folk who know their way around a Dev Tools panel 😬😜 Happy Karting, and don't forget to share your scores to X. Two years ago, I minted my very first NFT on @base. At the time, I barely even understood what NFTs were. When I saw what some of them were selling for, I was honestly incredulous. I remember thinking, “There’s no way I’d ever pay that much for a jpg.” During the 2020–2021 cycle, I was just trading tokens on BNB. That was my lane. NFTs felt completely foreign to me. @BasedApeGang changed that. They were the gateway that pulled me in. By November 2024, they brought me to @ApeChainHUB , and that’s where everything really clicked. I experienced something in NFT communities that I had never felt while trading tokens. The energy, the culture, the ownership, the people. It was different. I started just looking forward to hanging out with people on spaces and group chats. I dove headfirst into Spotlight and started collecting nearly every major NFT project on ApeChain. Around the same time, I fell in love with @OthersideMeta and bought Kodas, deeds, and BAKC. But even then, I still wasn’t officially part of the club. Then in May 2025, after winning a major Spotlight prize, ApeChain sent me to Monaco for the Grand Prix. That was an experience of a lifetime and something I’ll never forget. Around that same time, I knew I had to bring one of my own ideas to life. @i3uuve1 played a critical role in pushing me forward. The conversations I had with him helped give me the confidence to stop just thinking about building and actually start building. I wasn’t able to make it to ApeFest, and I still wasn’t part of the club yet, but by then my entire outlook on NFTs and community had completely changed. I knew I was going to join. At the end of 2025, I finally got my Mutant and, joined the @BoredApeYC and kept pushing forward with the project. Then came the Made by Apes license. And now, after a year of planning, building, learning, and obsessing, we officially have a mint date. I never would have imagined I’d be here when I minted that first NFT on Base. The last two years have been a whirlwind, and they completely changed how I look at this space, the people in it, and where I want to spend my time. From thinking I’d never pay for a jpg… To building something of my own. Mint date is set. 🧪🫡
