I spent most of the season trying to be even-keeled about the Spurs, but to borrow the words of Victor Wembanyama, screw it! I just don’t see a ceiling on this team with the way they’re playing right now. This is a title winning team. They’re capable. Hell, they’re more than capable.

@McCainFuture @NBAonNBC He’s a 7’6 center that isn’t the primary ball handler. The Spurs have young guards that need touches to help the team grow. But he always shows up offensively when he’s needed and when all else fails the young guards can always fall back to him

But we can agree he is nowhere near the other MVP candidates offensively and that gap can be bigger impact wise than the defense. Especially since offense is more valuable if Wemby isn’t having a good offensive game which he does way more than the other guys his alright perimeter defense and all time rim protection isn’t better
