@PurePeptidesBio Nothing wrong with using mannitol. The practice is very common (sometimes combo'd with trehalose) and is used to stabilize and protect the peptide. Less "pure"? Perhaps. But otherwise there's the hassle of strict cold storage (-20-60C) to prevent rapid degradation.

🧬Quest for Epitalon🧬 We've been trying to add Epitalon to our product line for a while. It has proved extremely elusive & always includes Mannitol. The following COA's are not from bad vendors. Our search continues. This is why it's always lots. Not vendors. Testing matters.

@canis_lambent @TomG_849 ☝️This is a good explanation. At Pure Peptides Bio we consider expedites that dilute the compound and are not necessary in the lyophilization process to be not worthy of bringing to market.

@TomG_849 @PurePeptidesBio So Mannitol in an epitalon vial is not /inherently/ bad, but it's a red flag for product quality + dosing accuracy + and authenticity rather than a direct safety issue Could be used to as a bulking agent in the vial. Makes accurate dosing uncertain + reduces purity

@wsbrowning No it isn't required. Pure peptides (the compound not our company) will lyophilize under the proper conditions. It's often used as bulking agent or to make the cake look better, but it's not required.

Appreciate the support exp. Not sure about the only one though, but yes our stock is sorted, labeled, & sent for purity/quantity/endo testing first. It's then stored in a pharmactuel freezer at -25C until sold or periodically pulled for QA/QC check at a 3rd party lab.
