Cool! PurelyPeer has been around for many years as well. PurelyPeer does not improve on WeNano. In fact, PurelyPeer was developed independently during a hackathon as a result of brainstorming by 4 BCH peers who were not XNO users. It was around the same time as WeNano started and the PurelyPeer peers did not learn about WeNano until years later when other users of both BCH and XNO noticed a few similarities. Both PurelyPeer and WeNano share the goal - to spread the purely peer to peer electronic cash and its adoption - but they do so differently on a couple of fundamental points. 1. PurelyPeer was inspired by physical geocaching hunts. Navigation helps the user to find BCH in a location unknown beforehand. Each hidden cashdrop is in a random location within a prespecified radius of a central quest point. 2. Optionally, BCH cashdrops can come partially locked in PurelyPeer vaults that are integrated into a Paytaca POS. On the other hand, WeNano does not appear to have the POS integration. Also, WeNano does not appear to have the element of surprise via a hunt to an unknown location. WeNano appears to be a simpler, more straightforward digital faucet linked to a real world area, which gives XNO to users who come close enough to a known location. Hence, to BCH users who have tried PurelyPeer, WeNano might appear less engaging. However, to all others, XNO is a great tool to get introduced to the purely peer to peer electronic cash. Well done!

@Nurain_Dev @PurelyPeer Cool to see $BCH community has something similar! @WeNanoApp has been around for many years 😄 What parts makes @PurelyPeer better? Would love to learn in what aspects it improves on WeNano. I would think the fees on BCH and block times make it near impossible.

We could not have summarized it better! PurelyPeer is equally excited that its choice to implement non-custodial (self-custody) solutions has been recognized as the right one for privacy, innovation, and more!
Paytaca@_paytaca_

📣 Google’s Policy Update Is a Win for Self-Custody — and for Freedom 👏 This week, Google confirmed that non-custodial (self-custody) crypto wallets are exempt from its new licensing requirements for wallet apps on the Play Store. This is more than just a policy tweak — it’s a clear recognition of a fundamental truth: When users hold their own keys, they — not the wallet provider — are in control of their assets. 🧐 Why it matters: ✅ Custodial wallets (where companies hold your crypto) will soon need government licenses in over 15 jurisdictions, including the US, EU, and UK. ✅ Non-custodial wallets remain free from those burdens because they don’t take possession of user funds. ✅ This protects privacy, preserves innovation, and ensures that users worldwide can still access secure, open financial tools. For us at Paytaca, this is validation of what we’ve stood for from the start: 🔑 Your Money, Your Control. We built Paytaca to empower individuals, not to control their assets. We believe every person should have direct access to their money without gatekeepers, unnecessary licensing, or corporate custody. Google’s clarification keeps Android an open platform for decentralized finance. And it reminds us that in a truly open financial system, software is a tool — not a middleman. The future belongs to those who hold their own keys. 🗝️ #BitcoinCash #Paytaca #SelfCustody Read live update from @bitpinas here 👇 #google-clarifies-non-custodial-crypto-wallets-not-affected-by-policy-update" target="_blank" rel="nofollow noopener">bitpinas.com/cryptocurrency…

A peer in Toronto, Canada 🇨🇦 wanted "fun BCH time", so PurelyPeer funded their quest. As a 2nd or 3rd quest in the city, it gets 0.1 points. RO8 standings: Philippines 🇵🇭 = 3.2 Nigeria 🇳🇬 = 2 Taiwan 🇹🇼 = 1.2 Canada 🇨🇦 = 1.2 USA 🇺🇸 = 1.1 UK 🇬🇧 = 1 Mozambique 🇲🇿 = 1 Lebanon 🇱🇧 = 1

This is AWESOME! PurelyPeer peers tested a quest at a shopping mall in Abuja, Nigeria 🇳🇬 with great success. Although all cashdrops have been collected (3 peers collected 5 cashdrops at various times), the quest can still be found in the Explore 🧭 UI for the next ~3 months.

@Kashi264 @InvestorUsman Even if we manage to allow rooted phones and/or developer mode, it'd be for other app functions. Collect mode which allows collecting cashdrops, getting BCH will be always kept for regular phones. If you are interested in only collecting BCH, then you'd get a regular phone.

@Kashi264 x.com/PurelyPeer/sta… Yes, the solution is to have a phone that is not rooted. And/or turn off your developer mode when using PurelyPeer.
PurelyPeer@PurelyPeer

@InvestorUsman Yes, we had to make an intentional call to disable some functions in rooted devices as a security measure. We will explore if it'd be just as secure to keep the limited functionality only to the Collect mode with BCH cashdrops, and keep the wallet, map, other functions for all.

@Kashi264 Yes, the cashdrops are geolocated in real locations. Think of it as a physical faucet for BCH. You have to show up at a specific spot to collect it.

@Lil__Kingg @Nurain_Dev Not at the moment but we have discussed internally how we could first accommodate using other coins to create the quests with BCH cashdrops in them. Would that be the usecase you are looking for (any coin --> BCH --> PurelyPeer quest with BCH cashdrops)?

@Kashi264 Go to purelypeer.cash to download the app (Android via Play Store or a direct download link, iOS via App Store TestFlight link) and to learn more about the app. Depending on where you live, there might be quests (advertisements) with cashdrops (microads) to collect BCH.

The last 3 countries that joined the celebratory Race of 8s (R8) were thanks to peers in: -Las Vegas, USA 🇺🇸 -Hsinchu, Taiwan 🇹🇼 -Tripoli, Lebanon 🇱🇧 We had extra quest requests in earlier cities, so we funded up to 2 extra ones (each will receive 0.1 point) in: -Toronto, Canada 🇨🇦 (1x) -Las Vegas, USA 🇺🇸 (1x) -Hsinchu, Taiwan 🇹🇼 (2x) -Quezon City, Philippines 🇵🇭 (2x) Other cities too can get extra unfunded quests funded (up to 2 extra for 3 total) during the R8. Current R8 standings: Philippines 🇵🇭 = 2.2 Taiwan 🇹🇼 = 1.2 Canada 🇨🇦 = 1.1 USA 🇺🇸 = 1.1 Nigeria 🇳🇬 = 1 UK 🇬🇧 = 1 Mozambique 🇲🇿 = 1 Lebanon 🇱🇧 = 1
