In gun safety, you’re taught to treat every gun as if it’s loaded until you’re certain it’s not. Good men want you to treat other men with the same caution. I’ve never known a good man who wasn’t enraged by women being raped, abused, and murdered. Good men don’t want you to stay quiet about bad men. The men who truly care about you want you to be cautious. They don’t want you to assume every man is safe and they definitely don’t want you giving the benefit of the doubt to men you don’t know. The men who have a problem with this are not men who have ever been entrusted with the care of a woman, and that tells you everything you need to know.
