There’s like a couple of possible routes it could go
1: Elita is severely injured and the matrix is returned to Optimus or it’s taken by the decepticons (like shockwave) and it needs to be Taken back by the autobots before shockwave uses it for any nefarious purposes
2: Elita dies, Optimus is given back the Matrix or smth
3: Elita realises her error after encounter Spike and seeing all the memories and perhaps starts to understand the value or human lives and realises she is fit for the role of prime
4: Elita was the saving grace and Finishes the war and Banishes Optimus and the rest from coming back to cybertron, hell maybe they comeback to use Earth for it resources and power for cybertron 🤔 and fight against Optimus and his team
And Honestly best case scenario For Optimus and his team like Maybe sooner or later Wheeljack might just make the Dinobots to help them in their aid and I mean the Ariel bots are still there who knows thundercracker can still become the new member.
