@LouStagner If all one is interested in is finding the best player, you don't need playoff events. The regular season FEC standings achieve that. Surely the point of a playoff system is the intrigue and entertainment of what happens on the day under the gun.

Match play for the tour championship and/or playoffs would be a bad choice. I’d rather they do a 16 round cumulative playoff over 4 weeks across 4 different courses. Total score over 16 rounds wins it all. If you want to increase your chances of not identifying the best player, match play is the way to go.

Devil Ball is no ordinary golf ball. It requires twice the precision. Normal ball: A 1.5° face angle error on a 5ft putt is the difference between a drop & a lip-out. Devil Ball: Half that tolerance. Your face angle has to be truly dialled to roll it true.
