I've passed my first assessment /tape on my course and I'm over the moon! Working in sec care/CMHT as a trainee rather than going for the primary care high intensity training, although challenging, I feel has been a good change for me . 😁

Does anyone else find it really hard to transition to a new trust/service/team ? 😞. Not ashamed to say I've felt a bit isolated and not overly welcome .

@EmmyJayneDaniel Thank you so much ! I didn't believe for a second I would get it, so I'm still processing but it's exciting. I'm definitely feeling sad to leave my pwp team behind though x

Its been a wild week but .. incoming trainee high intensity therapist 😱🥹. I haven't yet processed and I've got a lot of emotions going round but if I don't go for it now, I never will..so let's do this !

My MH took a nosedive the last time I applied for a trainee HIT position, but I am tentatively considering applying again. I love my role , but it's not quite a senior role and it doesn't look like they're going to advertise to replace the SPWPs that are leaving 😞. I'm torn.

Back to work tomorrow after some much needed annual leave , and then two scans on Thursday. I feel a bit sick but I am hopeful this is all just a precaution and it will turn out to be nothing ☺️

I have been with my current workplace just over 18 months now. I've had a tough week , im now on the 2ww cancer pathway to investigate further & it's been a massive stress (as it would be) . I have felt so supported and cared for at work &I cannot express my gratitude enough 🥺❤️

We've also sold our house and had an offer accepted on another within a week so it's all go here and my head is swirling !! I hope everyone is well and if not, I'm always an open ear 🥰🥰

Update : I've been sitting on it because I was afraid of it getting withdrawn but I got the post and I'm over the moon . 🥹🥹 I love where I currently work and I'm thrilled I can progress without too much disruption ❤️❤️❤️

My eldest boy (7) is DCD /dyspraxic and suspected ADHD - he isn't diagnosed yet but has a SEN plan at school . He basically wrote a book on the way home from school - his imagination is incredible. I am so , so, SO proud of this boy. My children are my biggest achievement .

I have finally , FINALLY spoken to my GP about an ADHD assessment . I cried with relief. We have a f2f appt to discuss .I feel my work is being affected now so I've put aside the worry about people thinking I'm jumping on the bandwagon to get some answers and some help.

@jason712 I should have gotten back on the horse for the next round but I wasn't in a great place. I will look at the next cohort though! Thank you though that's kind of you to say, how are you getting on?

@PwpAtTheBeach Ah yeah I can see why that would. I applied to a few back in the day and got rejected by a couple. It can be disheartening but eventually I got there. You can do the same. I know you'd do well if you applied again. If you wanted to that is 😊

@jason712 I did apply the start of last year, had an interview but unfortunately my role play was 'too pwp based ' 😕. Haven't had the confidence to reapply !

Is there such a thing as a suicide prevention champion role in NHS TT services ? I'm no expert, and I'm a pwp rather than a HIT ,but I think I've done as many suicide prevention courses as I can take because I feel so strongly about it . 🙌

It can feel like a kick to the gut to see the wider praise go to people who 'do proper therapy' (or similar phrases ). But our work is vital , we are often the first face of these services and we carry a lot of workload, expectation & endless compassion. Power to us 🙌

Power to all the pwps out here : newly qualified , long term qualified , trainee or otherwise. So often I see us get overlooked, our successes and our workload not recognised or acknowledged . It can be disheartening. But you do a fantastic, meaningful, HARD JOB- so thank you xx
