Chase, the Secretary of the Treasury under President Abraham Lincoln and it’s still legal tender today. The catch? IBIT: $27.6B, Offshore BTC: $26.9B (As of April 24, 17:00 UTC, excluding today's onshore and offshore expiries) Beyond size, the onshore book has a distinctly different shape. Three things stand out: 1) Strike selection. OI-weighted call strike: Onshore IBIT: $110K (BTC equivalent) vs Offshore: $106K (Spot ~$78K) • Onshore call OI sits further OTM → retail upside buying + systematic overwriter supply. 2) Maturity profile. OI-weighted avg expiry: Onshore: Oct 12 vs Offshore: Aug 13 • ~2 months longer-dated onshore, reflecting a more buy-and-hold investor base. 3) Implied volatility as of April 24 17:00 UTC.
