Our Under 16s girls have continued their great season, fighting hard in their league in a multi-team fight for the title, as well as making it to the semi finals of the League Shield

Coach Alex, and the First Team here at Queensbury Celtic, celebrated 100 competitive fixtures, while he also reached 150 total games in senior management! Alex was also nominated for Volunteer of the Year at the upcoming Bradford Sports Awards

Taking the lead. The visitors brought a directness on the break from the first game, breaking the back line on 65 to take the lead, before a counter from a corner made it 3-1 Tadcaster. Chances came and went for the girls in the last 20, but just couldn't get the goals needed.

Edge of both teams fighting for a result. The momentum carried on, and we kept knocking on the door, but couldn't score, and Pontefract doubled their lead on the counter. Energy dropped away as we approached full time, and Pontefract held on to take the 3 points home.
