بعضهم يتذكّر كلمة فخرٍ قالها من على المنصّة، وآخرون يتذكّرون بابًا فتحه لهم نحو التعليم، لكنهم جميعًا يتذكّرون الأب قبل القائد. آمن صاحب السمو الأمير الوالد، رحمه الله، بأن نور العلم لا يُحجب عن أحد، واليوم، يشارك من لامس حياتَهم ذكرياتِهم بأصواتهم.

Some remember a word of pride spoken from the stage. Others, a door he opened to education. All remember the father before the leader. His Highness the late Father Amir Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa Al Thani believed the light of knowledge should be withheld from no one; and today, those whose lives he touched share their memories in their own voices.

لحظات خالدة جمعت صاحب السمو الأمير الوالد الشيخ حمد بن خليفة آل ثاني، رحمه الله، بمؤسسة قطر، من تكريم الخريجين إلى أبرز المحطات المؤسسية، لحظات تروي قصة رؤية غيّرت وجه التعليم في قطر.

رؤيةٌ نَبَعَت من عمق موروثٍ راسخٍ في الحضارة العربية والإسلامية، التي تُعلي شأن الإنسان بالعلم والعمل، كان لا بدّ لها أن تزدهر وتُثمر، وأن يمتدّ نورها إلى العالم. بهذه الرؤية، أرسى المغفور له بإذن الله صاحب السمو الأمير الوالد الشيخ حمد بن خليفة آل ثاني، رحمه الله، دعائم مؤسسة قطر، بالشراكة مع رفيقة دربه صاحبة السمو الشيخة موزا بنت ناصر، التي تواصل قيادة هذه المسيرة وترسيخ رسالتها. فقد تشاركا هذه الرؤية وآمنا بها، حتى أثمرت مؤسسةً رائدةً تواصل اليوم مسيرتها بكل من يحمل شعلتها المضيئة، ويمضي بها في خدمة الإنسان وتمكينه. رحم الله فقيد وطننا، ووفّقنا لحمل أمانة تلك الرؤية.

A vision based on an empowered and educated nation rooted in identity and heritage. Guided by this vision, the late Father Amir, His Highness Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa Al Thani, may Allah have mercy on him, laid the foundations of Qatar Foundation alongside Her Highness Sheikha Moza bint Nasser, who continues to lead this journey and advance its mission. Together, they nurtured their vision into a pioneering institution whose journey continues today through all those who carry its torch forward in service of humanity and in support of human potential. May Allah have mercy on our nation’s dearly departed, and grant us the strength to uphold the trust of that vision.

Believing that education is the true wealth of nations, he devoted his life to human development and created a legacy that will endure generations. Through these timeless words, we honor the vision of His Highness the Father Amir Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa Al Thani – a vision that laid the foundations of Qatar Foundation and will always remain our guiding path. مؤمناً بأن التعليم هو الثروة الحقيقية للأوطان، كرّس حياته لبناء الإنسان، وترك إرثاً سيمتد عبر الأجيال. بهذه الكلمات الخالدة، نستذكر رؤية صاحب السمو الأمير الوالد الشيخ حمد بن خليفة آل ثاني، الرؤية التي أرست دعائم مؤسسة قطر، وستظل دوماً نبراساً نهتدي به.

رحم الله صاحب السمو الأمير الوالد الشيخ حمد بن خليفة آل ثاني، القائد الملهم، الذي تستحضر المؤسسة، بكل إجلال، رؤيته الرشيدة وبصيرته النافذة التي انطلقت منها رسالتها، وما أحاطها به من رعاية ودعم، وإيمان راسخ بأن بناء الإنسان هو أعظم بناء، وأن التعليم والبحث العلمي والابتكار هي الركائز التي تنهض بها الأمم. وستظل رؤيته نبراسًا تهتدي به المؤسسة، ومنهجًا تواصل من خلاله أداء رسالتها في خدمة الوطن والإنسان.

After a life distinguished by his dedication to the State of Qatar – during which he laid the foundations of its modern renaissance, driven by the conviction that human development and investment in education and scientific research are the cornerstones of national prosperity – we pray to God Almighty to shower the deceased with His vast mercy, grant him a place in His spacious Paradise, reward him abundantly for all that he gave to his nation, and grant everyone patience and solace.
