@Qld_SBC have made waves with their study on non-small cell lung carcinoma (NSCLC). The study has found that cell metabolism plays a critical role in determining how #lungcancer patients will respond to immunotherapy. 👉wri.org.au/3Mnt1H6

5/ Finally, we used GeoMx WTA to validate both human-defined and machine-learning-identified protein features, confirming that spatial metabolic-immune interactions are important in TME states driving NSCLC progression.

1/ After a huge team effort, we’re thrilled to share our latest study exploring the tumour microenvironment in NSCLC 🎯We integrated spatial proteomics, transcriptomics, and machine learning to uncover how the architecture and metabolism of the TME relate to patient outcomes.🧵👇

What if doctors could read a tumour like a map? Cure Cancer alumnus A/Prof Arutha Kulasinghe's research has used AI + spatial biology to predict which parts of a lung tumour will respond to treatment, before therapy starts. (Nature Genetics)

We are super proud of our @YaleMed and Clinical-oMx Lab @UQ_News team for our new publication in @NatureGenet titled “Spatial signatures for predicting immunotherapy outcomes using multi-omics in non-small cell lung cancer”. Let’s get into it…nature.com/articles/s4158…

🌌Patients with a higher proportion of a tumour neighbourhood that contained few immune cells was correlated with poor overall survival. We found that more GZMB+ CD8 T cells at a close distance to this neighbourhood was associated with improved survival. 3/6
