Last night a female artist showcasing at @BIGSOUNDtweets DM’d me after she’d been crying for hours. Apparently a label delegate informed her during an official meeting that, at age 24, she’s probably too old to “make it” now.

The picture across much of the country isn’t much better with @APRAAMCOS data showing that live music activity in December, the traditional peak season for the industry, was at 6 percent of the pre-COVID period.
